Walking on the line

Montessori and mindfulness go hand in hand, ´walking on the line´ is superb example of a walking meditation, in fact all the activities in a Montessori classroom promote mindfulness. Mindfulness is the state of being aware of the present and the techniques we use in our mindfulness sessions help the children to breathe well, take a pause and connect with how they´re feeling in that moment.

Throughout this week we have used a range of different activities such as; harmonic humming, yoga breathing techniques, candle blowing and a very soft and beautiful Epo e tai tai e. After the sessions the children remarked at how warm, calm and contented they felt, just listen to their wonderful singing voices! We´re are sure you´ll feel some of that too!
