We like to take great of our environment, and in our classroom we always make sure that our plants are well watered and thriving. We noticed that some plants needed repotting and that we could take some cuttings from larger plants to make new plants for inside our school.
Looking after plants is a brilliant way to introduce care of the environment to toddlers, through observation the child learns that plants need watering, dusting, sunlight, repotting, care and lots of love!
Having a house plant for a child to take care of is a great method to help the child connect to their surroundings and care for their environment.
The plants looked so fabulous after we´d finished that we decided to give one of them as a gift from the 0-3 classroom to the 3-6 classroom. Letting everyone in the school receive the benefit taking care of the environment brings!
